Volunteer for the Mitchell Animal Rescue and make a difference for an organization dedicated to lost, missing and stray dogs and cats. There are numerous ways to get involved and opportunities that fit any schedule.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Pound Check Volunteer
Mitchell Animal Rescue is seeking dependable people to check the City Pound one day per week. Specific tasks include gathering information about the animals in the pound, taking photos of new animals, posting on social media and updating the volunteer network on the status of the animals in the pound.
Phone/Email Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer for MAR without leaving the comfort of your home, we need responsible people willing to check MAR voicemail and email messages and respond to them on behalf of MAR. This position fits your schedule and we will train you.
Events and Fundraising Volunteer
If you have ideas, motivation and the ability to launch events and fundraisers on behalf of MAR, we would love to have you join us as a volunteer Events and Fundraising Coordinator!
Social Media/Marketing Volunteer
Our non-profit organization utilizes Facebook and Instagram to help promote MAR, find homes for animals, recruit volunteers and more. If you have the skillset and would like to help us build and maintain an enhanced social media/marketing presence as a MAR volunteer, please fill out an application!
Adoption Coordinator Volunteer
Mitchell Animal Rescue (MAR) is seeking a dependable person for the volunteer Adoption Coordinator position. This person will review adoption applications, call references, arrange/coordinate/perform a home visit and approve or deny adoption applicants.
Transition Coordinator Volunteer
Mitchell Animal Rescue is seeking a dependable person to help facilitate the process necessary when an animal leaves the pound to go into foster care or be transported to another rescue, including proper paperwork, veterinary care, foster information and transportation coordination.
Transportation Volunteer
MAR is always in need of people to help transport animals into foster homes or another rescue. You will need a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Your gas and any other necessary fees will be paid by MAR with prior approval.
